Experience Summary
As a college graduate, I have been educated on a wide variety of topics which I achieved high academic excellence. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication disorders and psychology. These subjects have allowed me to gain knowledge about the basic maths and sciences as well as about people. Moreover, through my college experience, I have extremely sufficient grammatical skills due to the numerous research papers I have written. Since high school, I have mentored 4th and 5th grade students in reading and math, taught Girl Scouts life skills, and assisted many peers in studying the areas of communication disorders and psychology.
Teaching Style
I have a talent for teaching and love to help students learn material in a way other than how it is traditionally taught. I believe everyone has a different learning style and it is important to teach in ways that a variety of students understand. My teaching style is hands on and provides visual and verbal information. I like to provide numerous examples and practice problems. I strongly believe that a student must take the initiative to practice outside of the classroom or tutoring session to really grasp the information and promote parent involvement. I strive to be an educator who makes a difference in the achievement level of the students that I assist.
