Experience Summary
I have a BS in Physics for the City College of the City of New York, with a strong minor in mathematics. I have been in programming for over thirty years. I had not used my mathematical knowledge in many years, but when my grand daughter was having problems in Algebra I helped her. I helped with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and trigonometry. I started going back to school for refresher courses, and am now taking courses in Real Analysis. I tutored one grandson and his firends in Calculus, and another grandson in college algebra. I have also worked at Sylvan for a year tutoring high school and elementary school students. I have helped some children at Church, with Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
Teaching Style
Style is to review the material, and help student with the material. I then work one or two problems with the sudent, and then let them do problems on their own. I the review the solutions with them, or coach them if they have had any problems.
At this time I will also show them any tricks, or shortcuts to help them with the material
