Experience Summary
I have 12 years of full time high school English teaching experience. Beyond that, I taught theatre at the college level for four years and worked as a teaching artist in New York City for four more. I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University, graduating with highest honors. My Bachelor of Science in English/Speech/Theatre helped me to establish a career in education that is characterized by a driving passion for excellence and a creative learning technique that is second to none.
Teaching Style
My teaching style adapts to the needs of each individual student. I am very specific in terms of direction, thorough when it comes to facts and details, challenging to promote excellence and fair in evaluation. I encourage discussion and gear specific material to meet an individuals current level of ability while allowing them to reach for their highest goal. Learning can also be fun and, as a theatre artist, I utilize a variety of creative educational techniques to help the student view material in a unique and interesting way.
