Experience Summary
I will graduate from college with two degrees, BA in Business & Economics and BA in Mathematics & Computer Science in May, 2010. The experience of four years of college has given me the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of not just my major but various other subjects. In addition to learning the academics, I have tutored mathematics, including statistics, to the students at Warren Wilson College for a year and a half. After about eight years of studying mathematics, I have proficiency in teaching the subject to students in any level of education.
Teaching Style
I believe that each person has a different way of learning. I usually try to understand the student’s learning style on the first meeting before getting into the teaching process. I am very patient, calm, helpful and understanding. Making sure that the student understands the process of answering a question before moving onto the next is a major characteristic of my teaching style. I understand that every student can perform better if given a very strong base of the subject matter.
