Experience Summary
I have been a teacher for 13 years. I currently am a Title One Reading tutor in Yancey County, NC. I moved to Asheville this summer and plan to continue to work for Yancey County next year. I have my undergraduate degree in Child Development. I am k-6 certified. I hold a master's degree in K-12 reading.
I have experience tutoring in Kindergarten, first grade, 4th grade and 6th grades.
Teaching Style
I love teaching. My passion is teaching reading. I love to see the "light bulb" go off when my students learn to read.
I am always searching for new and effective teaching methods for my students through discussions with colleagues, articles, teacher resources in books and the internet, and experience and reflections on my own teaching.
