Experience Summary
As a graduate of The Ohio State University, I had a passion for closing the achievement gap that exists between minority students and their counterparts. Therefore,I chose to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in English and another Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Therefore, I am able to provide my constituents with the pedagogy and the motivation to help them achieve their educational aspirations. Since I am a lifelong learner, I have also obtained my Master's in Education.
Teaching Style
I recognize that each child brings a certain type of diversity to their learning environment. This diversity ranges from their background knowledge, to their life experiences and ultimately their learning styles. After I create a learning style profile, I begin to create and implement strategies that will help students acquire and retain the skills that are necessary for them to master the subject area. I am very patient, organized and efficient because I pride myself on constantly improving my ability to meet the needs of all children. I live by Aristotle's quote:
