Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor of Social Work, and completing a Master's in Public Administration. I have years of experience in education working in the public schools as a teaching assistant, tutor, educational assistant. I have also worked in a school of education for teachers. I coordinated an Urban Scholars Tutoring Program. I am knowledgeable in public schools education, socioeconomic issues, funding, and limited resources affecting schools, education system, and students and their families. I coordinate Professional Development opportunities and Educational events. I have done extensive research in various areas of public policy including education Race to the Top and No Child Left Behind SES policies.
Teaching Style
I am familiar with lesson plans, rubric materials, frameworks, models, and assessments. I am familiar with pedagogy and teaching methods. I am multicultural competent professional. I am knowledgeable in curriculum and learning standards. "Every Child Can Learn" and develop their full potential. the Family Centered Model, Strength's Approach for parent involvement. I also adopt and integrate the use of technology, and community resources. The teacher should adapt to student's learning style in a holistic way. I believe that Education is key to survival and success in life. Education is something that can never be taken away, it's value is life-long and I can share my own example of how education has helped me achieve my goals.
