Experience Summary
As a Communication major at College of Charleston, the majority of my undergraduate assessment was research papers, essays, and writing exams. My grammar and writing skills have been far above average throughout my academic career. During the last three years since graduation, I have spent fifteen months teaching English as a Second Language at Chinese secondary schools. I also taught private lessons to Korean International students. As an English teacher, I represented my language every day and taught my students with accuracy and enthusiasm.
Teaching Style
I love working with older children. By the time students have reached secondary school, most are developing confidence in their abilities and discovering their unique talents. As a teacher, I enjoy encouraging students to reach their potential in any subject. I especially enjoy one-on-one tutoring, because the students are able to be more relaxed in this learning environment. They feel more comfortable asking questions, and this comfort in learning is essential for students to move forward.
