Experience Summary
I have spent over ten years in the classroom teaching English Comprehension, Literature, Writing and Spelling to students in middle school. I have also worked extensively with struggling readers grades 4-12, and with English Language Learners. I have supervised summer school programs, led peer-tutoring groups, and run a school newspaper. I currently volunteer as a liaison between my school district and my city, sit on the board of a local parenting group with over 500 members, and am very involved in preschool and kindergarten reading, writing and math. I enjoy working with students of all ages and at all levels!
Teaching Style
It is my goal to provide support for all students striving to learn the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to become lifelong learners. I believe that the teacher and the curriculum must inspire the passion and power to make positive choices throughout life; education is the one and only key to reaching these goals and I consider it my job to make sure each student is prepared not just to meet them, but to exceed them.
