Experience Summary
I have had extensive experience tutoring in group settings as well as tutoring individuals. While attending community college and working, I tutored for high school students preparing themselves for college in group settings. Since graduating to the university level, I have been tutoring students and individuals from the community on a one-to-one basis. Thus, I am able to understand the dynamics of what each person needs most in order to succeed in their studies.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is based on patience and the understanding that not everyone understands mathematics the same way. As such, I attempt to explain mathematics slowly, simplistically and by focusing on the general concepts. I believe this enables the student to understand the material at their own pace. This also helps foster an environment where the student is given sufficient opportunity to ask questions and stay actively involved in the learning process.
