Experience Summary
I worked for thirteen years in a standard office position. I went back to school to get a degree in Mathematics with the intention of becoming a teacher. With that goal in mind I have taken every opportunity of the past three years to help other students with math. I have tutored every subject in math from elementary algebra to differential equations to various different types of learners. I have gained useful insights into the different ways people learn and deal with mathematics.
Teaching Style
I love working with anyone who is having trouble with mathematics, whether it be a junior high student or an adult who has returned to college. I really do believe that anyone can learn a subject if they put in the effort, and most of the time I have found that once they get over the initial fear of not knowing the subject they do quite well. I try to help boost the confidence of those I work with as much as possible.
