Experience Summary
I was a returning student to college after raising my children. I emphasized education to my children in high school and college. I was a double major at Ohio University in psychology and biochemistry. I received my BA in psychology which has given me an extensive understanding how to write APA style research papers. Through my AS degree with an emphasis on chemistry I understand how to write basic laboratory reports and an understanding various areas of chemistry. During my years in college I tutored students in a Writing Center and for the Chemistry Department for my five years at college.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with students of all ages. I believe that each student is different and students learn in different ways. I wish to help each student find their potential and achieve academic success. I raised two children of my own. So I understand and can relate to children. Through my experience as a tutor in college I have helped these students feel confident in their studies and have given them the encouragement they need to succeed. I have created a relationship with my students that if they need more help. All they need to do is ask me. I have strived to make a difference in their lives.
