Experience Summary
I have taught and tutored both school age kids and adults in various subjects including English and Math. I currently work as adjunct faculty at Santa Fe College, teaching Prep Math. In addition, I have been tutoring English as well as Math in the Diversity Office on campus. Even though my degrees, in English, Art History and Math, provide me with a good foundation, my work has provided me with the experience to work with different skill levels and learning styles.
Teaching Style
Through my years of experience I have learned to work with different approaches and methods,as each student has his/her special way of learning. I strive to induce self confidence in my students by using positive reinforcement. In turn, my students are more willing to face challenges they previously considered unattainable for them. It is always with great gratification that I watch my students grow in their abilities, and actually enjoy learning.
