Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education grades K through 6. I have five years teaching in a classroom. I have two years of one on one tutoring experience. I have already taught a sixth grade class in all subject areas. I have extensive experience tutoring children one on one with ADD disabilities in the last two years. My strong areas of expertise are in vocabulary, language arts. reading, science, and social studies. I am also a very creative writer, and I have helped my students with all kinds of reports.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching one on one, and I receive great satisfaction when they really understand the subject matter. I am not over bearing, and I feel all children learn at their own pace.I try to strike up a bond with the childen to trust me, yet knowing I am not their parents. I am a very good listener and over time it helps my individual teaching style.I bring a bit of humor into each tutoring session for it relaxes my students.
