Experience Summary
Since graduating from Eastern Oregon University, a college known for its education programs, I have dedicated most of my adult life to teaching. I have a BS degree in secondary education with endorsements in advanced mathematics and health education. I have taught students in various settings throughout my career and have become able to adapt to different learning environments. I have taught students in grades 7 through 12 as well as adult learners preparing to earn a GED certificate. Most of my teaching through the years has been in mathematics, but I have also taught a number of other subject through the years.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching individuals more than large groups. I enjoy getting to know the interests of those I teach and use that to find ways to motivate students. I am extremely patient and very enthusiastic about student learning. I give constant feedback to the learner and will be quick to praise the student when they are successful. I believe that everyone can learn and succeed if they are given the opportunity and a positive environment to enable them to meet their full potential. I feel that my positive approach and genuine care for each student can make a great difference in a student's learning experience.
