Experience Summary
I fully love my architecture career, but I have never lost my love for math and science! Every day I use basic math, geometry, and even physics (to calculate structural components). I am forced to design creative solutions and think outside the box. I hold a 4 year BS and a 5 year Bachelor of Architecture, and I have tutored on and off over the years. I have also taught Sunday School for the last 3 years, which has increased my ability to explain complicated issues in simple, understandable, and relevant ways.
Teaching Style
There is a way to reach every child. It is my responsibility to figure out how an individual child learns best, and then use it to show him learing is fun! I enjoy challenging a child to think - to think more creativly, tieing together concepts to gain understanding. There is nothing like seeing a child grasp a new concept, or watching their eyes light up as something which seemed boring or unimportant becomes exciting and relevant!
