Experience Summary
I am a qualified tutor, in Charlotte, NC., in Reading, English, Writing, Comprehension, History and Spanish, K-12 and High School. I am registered with the NCLB federal after-school program in Charlotte. I have been tutoring for many years and love to help students achieve their goals and realize their full potentials. I customize learning plans to each of my students, working closely with the pupil and parents to make sure we're working on what's needed to help the child succeed. I believe in simplicity:keep learning plans and lessons simple, basic. Let's solve the problems first but have fun doing it.Personal relationships is how we learn and,grow and succeed. We never stop learning.
Teaching Style
I love to read and enjoy involving my students in the joys of learning and expanding their horizons. No matter what their path every student needs to read and read well. Basic skills like comprehension,grammar and spelling must be kept up in order to compete today. A sense and appreciation of history is important. Reading and comprehension are vital tools which we all need throughout our lives. The process of learning any subject should be fun. Seeing that "spark" of understanding in my students' eyes makes it all worthwhile. Every child has great abilities.
