Experience Summary
I have loved Chemistry ever since I was in high school. I continued on to pursue my BS in Chemistry and learned a lot, not only in that field, but also in many areas of math as well. I have continued on in my education and am currently in the final year of my PhD, studying Polymer Science. During the last 3-4 yrs, I have tutored students mainly in Chemistry, both at the high school and college level.
Teaching Style
My main goal is to try and make the subject as much fun and easy to understand as possible. I never give away answers and instead try to lead the student toward the answer, giving them the chance to figure it out as we go along. I try to break more complex ideas down into concepts that are easier to understand. I often tell students that Chemistry is not as scary as some people say, it just needs to be explained properly.
