Experience Summary
Currently I'm a senior at UNC of Chapel Hill majoring in Mathematical Decision Science. I haven't had any paid tutoring experience, but I tutored many of my peers in high school in math, history, and language arts. I am pretty good at working with them and helping them understand math and science concepts. My grades were consistently A's and B's.
During high school I've also visited local elementary school and worked with kids there mainly as a teacher's assistant.
In addition, as a native Chinese, I'm fluent in Mandarin.
Teaching Style
First of all, I love teaching and working with all kids. Secondly, I have a very interactive style to tutoring and have a creative mind that helps find the easiest ways for students to learn/remember/memorize difficult concepts or vocabulary. I'm very motivating and enthusiastic, which I believe converts well into good and clear explanations and understanding. I'm also very patient so I'm willing to spending as much time as needed to help kids grasp the material. I really hope I can make a difference in my students/friends' lives.
