Experience Summary
I was a Graduate Teaching Associate at Ohio State Uinversity Math Department, teaching college math recitation sections including Calculus and Pre-calculus courses from 1987 to 1993. Starting from 2009 till present time I have been a substitute math teacher in West Contra Costa Unified School District and I was an volunteer academic tutor for El Cerrito High School After School Program in 2009. Through the years that I taught I have developed an understanding of students' trouble in learning and could explain the details of material in a way well acceptable to students.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with high school and middle school students. I believe every child has ability to learn math though their learning styles are different. I am patient and hard working. When I was teaching at OSU, the TA's served in Tutor room one hour per week so I gained confidence and teaching skills in answering questions from the students. I am friendly and genuinely love students. I am approachable and explain the material throughly. I am good at solving math problems and make math easy to understand.
