Experience Summary
I have a solid education, starting with an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and a Master's of Science from St Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. During my first two years of college, I excelled academically, allowing me to qualify as a tutor in algebra, calculus and physics for other college students. In addition, I honed my communication skills as an Air Force Officer, attending Academic Instructor School, later teaching future Air Force officers written and spoken communication and leadershiip.
Teaching Style
I am extremely patient and work hard to communicate the concepts that students need to understand to truly achieve their learning objectives. My belief is that a tutor, or any teacher, is a role model not only for understanding the subject at hand, but in the manner in which they work with students, using a tactful, understanding approach at all times. In general, I guide the student, using questions along the way to assess their level of understanding, in addition to exercises and problem-solving related to the subject.
