Experience Summary
Transitioning from an exemplary career in Engineering and Technical Project Management to Education – Planning on teaching high school Math and Science. I have been involved in Education during my engineering career and been very interested in working on innovative teaching methods to teach Math & Science by making it more interactive and interesting from a very early age through high school.
• For the last 8+ years have coached high school juniors and
seniors in preparation for SAT exams.
• Have been a mentor to middle school kids for LEGO robotics
competitions at local and regional levels
• Have been a judge at Science Fairs at local, regional and state
level championships
Teaching Style
I believe in being a coach to the student rather than traditional teaching.
While I will go over any new concepts in a teaching format, I prefer letting the students figure out solving any related problem by guiding and making suggestions, as necessary, to lead them through coming up with a solution.
I will sometimes let students make mistakes so that they can later understand the mistake and as a result more likely to learn the material in question more thoroughly.
