Experience Summary
My experience as a tutor consists of two years as a Title 1 elementary school tutor. I worked in an after school program helping groups of children learn and get caught up with their studies. I also worked one on one with students to accomplish their goals, and show them support as they learned the material. I taught the students subject areas from the FCAT to help raise their scores. Every student I have ever tutored raised their scores in the subject area that I was tutoring them in.
Teaching Style
I am enthusiastic and passionate about helping people realize their goals and potential. I like to work one on one or at the most tutor two students at a time. I like to devote my attention to what they are struggling with the most. I give a pre-test to see where the students’ strengths are and then work from there. Every student learns differently, and it’s figuring out how that student learns best that matters the most. Once I can communicate to the student on a level that makes sense to them; the student is able to grasp the concept being taught. My goal is to provide the best education possible for your child. I set achievable goals and work with the student to attain them. I am encouraging and motivated!
