Experience Summary
I had an early interest in math, since I graduated on the top of my class in grade school. I obtained a B.S. at L.T.U. in 1973 with honors and a G.P.A. of 3.75 in math.I like to tutor, since I was very successful at it at M.S.U. I also tutored recently at Henry Ford C.C.
I read about a book a day, in math education, logic etc. to expand my knowledge on tutoring.I am people-oriented and highly motivated to convey my knowledge of math. I have read many books that have inspired me to write a book on math education.
Teaching Style
All children are different, but you can put them in categories, such as those who do better in group studies or learning independently. Also you can differentiate children on their makeup. But it is always helpful to keep them curious, using their imagination, etc. to get them to understand that math should be fun, has many applications, and math exercises expands their minds. And since I am patient,easy-going and always look for the best qualities in people, I have a knack of making students achieve their maximum potential by discovering their true abilities.
