Experience Summary
Over the years and the number of students I taught, I have learn a lot. Anatomy, neuroanatomy and neuroscience for example are topics that need an in-depth and rigorous learning. At the same time it will be the most rewording endeavor the student would have ever attempted. In my teaching, I try to present applications and examples to students . Physiological sciences also fall in the same category. To learn how we function, the learner needs to understand the overall relationship between the various elements that makes us. For example: to understand muscular activities we need to know how groups of muscles work together to perform a task. I have taught these topics in class settings and experimental laboratories.
Teaching Style
I have been a teacher and professor now for about half of my life. I have taught various science subjects to students of diverse abilities. This includes students at the junior high level to medical students. Despite the age difference there are a number of characteristic traits that remain constant in every learner. The job of a professor is to listen to the student and gauge the level of understanding of the topic and steer the learner to correct answer. This is achievable in any topic with any student. Biological sciences are good example of this strategy. Online teaching/tutoring is the future of science.
