Experience Summary
I have experience teaching and tutoring diverse age groups. I have worked with children as a volunteer teacher and worked with adults at a volunteer activity center. I have tutored in math for a long time in different levels since math was always easy for me and I have a passion for math. I believe every individual has the ability to learn and it is the tutor/teacher job to figure out the suitable style for each individual.
Teaching Style
I usually start with getting background information about the individual and try to learn their strength and weaknesses. Finding a style that suite the individual level is the most important part in my idea. The next step I would take is to give each student assignment according to their level and try to see how they will perform for a week or two. If the style works I will continue and if not I will try to approach them differently. In all the time I will patiently compare that individual with him or herself and based on their abilities.
