Experience Summary
I have over 12 years experience teaching others. As a management consultant, I have provided training to numerous companies as well as to the general public through seminars and multi-session programs. I have taught undergraduates and post-graduates at three institutions of higher educational, both in the classroom and online. I am a former director of a Small Business Development Center of which one of its role is to provide one-on-one counseling and tutoring to clients.
My experiences have centered on a range of business and management courses including entrepreneurship, principles of marketing, principles of management, business law, international business law, international business and trade, and business ethics.
Teaching Style
I love helping others achieve their goals and enjoy working with eager learners of all ages. Three components guide my role and teaching style:
1) Be prepared. I understand and appreciate my responsibility to provide students with substantive information and marketable skills such as critical thinking and writing.
2) Encourage a safe and stimulating learning environment, treating students with respectfully. In brief, I do not lecture to my students but rather engage them through dialogue.
3) Help students understand the relevance of the subject matter by using real world examples, where possible.
