Experience Summary
I currently work as a scientist in the biotechnology industry, and have been teaching as my schedule allows. I have taught Genetics, General Biology, Biochemistry and Ecology and Evolution. I have a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biotechnology and I am currently a part time student at Johns Hopkins University.
Teaching Style
I am well aware that most of my students will not pursue the hard sciences as a career in academia or industry but I believe that everyone has the ability to grasp scientific concepts that will be relevant in their chosen fields. For this reason I approach every course I teach as an opportunity to help students demystify the myth that science is difficult.
I believe that leaning is a dual effort between teachers and students and hold all my students to a high standard, academically and ethically. I hope that at the end of any science course that I teach, students would have gathered some confidence in their ability grasp scientific concepts and to analyze information.
