Experience Summary
While earning my bachelor degree in physics I worked as a teaching assistant with duties including grading homework, teaching labs, leading test reviews and helping students’ complete assignments. I have also recently substituted for a high school physics course.
Teaching Style
During my time as a teaching assistant I observed that a student learning science would get lost in either the terminology or the math. I would help students better understand the unique vocabulary associated with science and strengthen the students’ math skills. By strengthening these two areas, I would show students that science is understandable and enjoyable. I love helping and watching students learn about science and make their own discoveries about the world around them. Every subject has tools of the trade and physics is no different. I would teach students what the tools are and how they are used so they can apply them to any situation and solve any problem.
