Experience Summary
Since I began my career as a translator in 2002, I have provided Japanese-English translations to many well-known corporate and governmental entities, a short list of which would include Nintendo, the US Patent and Trademark Office, and Honda. Additionally, I have edited English manuscripts and translations which have appeared in scholarly journals published by the University of Tokyo and Oxford University. I have also employed my composition and research skills in a number of publications, including several profiles of New Orleans religious sites published through the Harvard University Pluralism Project. I attended Loyola University New Orleans on both music and academic scholarships, and received Best Undergraduate Essay award in 2003.
Teaching Style
I believe that personalized education is the foundation of a balanced, succesful individual. I also believe that a balance of study and experimentation, as well as opportunities to internalize and adapt information and experiences are critical to both academic success and personal growth. . I can help your child build mental discipline and study skills through all phases of the educational process; to a goal-oriented, focused student, no subject is daunting or intimidating. I am a patient, experienced, optimistic instructor whose greatest satisfaction comes in helping others realize their fullest potential.
