Experience Summary
As an Early Childhood teacher, I have chosen what I believe to be a very important position in society. I have both a BA and a MED in Early Childhood Education. I have taught school for 27 years. During these years I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten,1st grade and specialized reading in grades 2-5. I have taught students in large classes, small groups and as individuals. I have knowledge in many areas of learning for young children, but am most proficeint in Math and Language Arts.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching children and get great pleasure from helping them to learn new concepts. It is very exciting to see the glow in the eyes of a child when he has realized that he understands what we are studying.
I believe each child is an individual and learns in his own way. There is no set way to teach a child. Through many years of working with children, I have been able to adjust my teaching style to fit that of the child or children with whom I am working. I believe all children can learn and should be given the opportunity to grow intellectually. Children should see learning as an enjoyable experience and not just something that has to be done.
