Experience Summary
With my bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, I have developed a strong understanding and comprehension of math and science. I have tutored my younger brother in physics while he was in high school and three years ago as a Resident Assistant on a floor specifically for engineering student, I have helped my residents with their college level physics and some calculus classes. I have also taught tennis for two summers for the West Bend Parks and Recreation Department.
Teaching Style
I am an easy going individual who attempts to make learning fun and relate it to real life examples. With physics and calculus, there are many instances when assignments can be very difficult to comprehend because it's difficult to see how a derivative or integral relates to real life situations. I do my best to try and simplify difficult problems into easy steps that a student would already know. I feel that the best way to fully learn something though is to do it yourself. Repetition in school and sports is really the best way to improve and is a theory I strongly believe in.
