Experience Summary
I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor concentration in German. During my undergraduate studies, I was a teaching assistant for both general and organic chemistry laboratories. During my graduate studies, I taught general chemistry laboratory and lecture for four years. I am presently teaching general chemistry laboratory part-time at a local university. In addition, I am also employed as a chemist in industrial research and development, which has allowed me to use and enhance my chemical expertise.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching chemistry and believe that everyone can learn and understand chemistry. Everyone learns differently and I try to diversify my explanation of material using examples to which the student can relate. I try to help the student overcome the preconception that chemistry is an impossible subject to learn and show how chemistry is applicable in everyday life.
