Experience Summary
As a recent graduated of the University of Minnesota-Duluth I am a very motivated and energetic person. I earned a 4 year degree in 3 1/2 by taking college level classes in high school and taking extra classes each semester. As a Communication student I took many journalism and writing classes and am familiar with different writing styles as well as citing formats such as MLA and APA which I know can be difficult for many students. During the last 7 years have been a nanny for three children, the eldest of who is now 12 and have helped each of them with homework. I have also worked at a local church as a teacher's aid on Bible Study night.
Teaching Style
I love hanging out with and helping kids. It is especially rewarding to me to see a child who finally understands their assignments. As a person who once needed a tutor as a child also, I know the importance of being patient and listening to the child's needs as well as being able to explain the problems or situation in a way that the child understands.
