Experience Summary
The past 8 years I have worked for the Montgomery County and Frederick County school systems as a substitute teacher in middle and high schools.. An area of extensive experience was with the special needs students at both Linganore and Walkersville High schools. I taught a class in self-esteem skills for the SUCCESS program for Frederick County. I had a fair amount of experience with the ESOL program in Montgomery County in 2007.
Prior to this, I had worked with the Public LibraryLiteracy program in Kansas City, Mo. as well as taught creativity and self-esteem classes.
Teaching Style
Aware of the variety of learning styles as well as subject contents, I attempt to work with the individual students in an appropriate learning style to which the student is attuned.
As an artist, primarily a visual learner am I, I value the creative concepts that can be incorporated in the tutoring/learning experience. A favorite perspective of mine is
