Experience Summary
I just finished my first year of teaching science for grades 6-12 in a remote school in Nevada. It has been noted from a previous employer that I can shift very quickly between different groups of students to adjust to what is developmentally appropriate.
I relate very well to both the junior high and high school age levels. I was the 8th grade class advisor and the junior high track coach. I maintained the science curriculum for a seven period, four day school week. All of my students passed the CRT test for science, which is comparable to MEAP test in Michigan) and three obtained perfect scores.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I am available to help your child find academic success. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a constructivist approach to learning. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference in a child's education. I strive to make a difference in all of my students' lives.
