Experience Summary
I have worked with children ages 0-8 years old. Reading and Language Arts are my strongest subjects. I am also working Kids-N-Technology once a week as a assistant teacher at Dogwood Elementary one day a week. We implement Individuals Educational Programs, for each child in their after school program. Personally I am in a member of a women's reading club, which is great because I get to read all kinds of books and discuss each one in detail.
Teaching Style
Teachers are considered as professionals and should carry themselves accordingly. It is not the salary which drives true teacher: it's the love for the children which are in their care. Children today face many challenges which can take their focus from learning. It is my desire to help children in school feel comfortable and safe as well as excited about learning. I want to be able to set positive examples for my children. I know that there will be a lot of materials that have to be covered, I also know that some children need more time to grasp certain concepts,this is where teachers have to be patient and gentle. My concerns for education are why I want to use every available resource afforded to me to help each child learn.
