Experience Summary
I have a distinguished record as an educator and recently completed a stint teaching Language Arts at a high school in Port St. Lucie. I have been successful as a high school teacher, training manager and senior lecturer at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. My qualifications include a Master's degree in Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. These degrees have been assessed and are deemed equivalent to similar degrees offered in the USA, by Joseph Silny & Co. I have contributed to the personal and academic development of hundreds of students.
Teaching Style
I love seeing students discover that they have learned something new. I believe all children can learn and my responsibility as a teacher is to help each one find his or her unique way of learning. I will set high standards for your child's learning outcomes but my expectations will be matched by my patience and willingness to work on his or her special needs. I am a firm believer in discovery and experiential learning to cement concepts that have to be understood. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate tools and learning experiences. I strive to work with the significant persons in a child's environment to develop the most effective ways of ensuring results.
