Experience Summary
I have degrees from Boston College (B.A., Economics) and Salem State College (M.Ed., School Counseling). I was a high school guidance counselor for three years before starting a business as an educational consultant for families involved in the college admissions process. I have tutored the SAT, PSAT, and SSAT since 2002, working for several companies and later on my own. A former newspaper and public relations professional, I am a strong writer.
Teaching Style
I am laid-back and easy going with a good sense of humor. I relate very well to children - having tutored and coached youth sports for a long time. I consider myself patient, and reward students for trying. It is satisfying to see pupils make progress.
