Experience Summary
I served 20 years in the Navy, and during that period earned my BS Degree. Many of my assignments were in development and institution of training programs including Equal Opportunity/Race Relations, Leadership and Management, and Professional Development. After I retired I worked as an engineer for government contractors writing training programs and systems manuals for state-of-the-art communication systems. I earned a Washington State teaching certificate for Broad Area Social Studies and History, grades 4 - 12. As a pastor, I concentrated my efforts in teaching theology to my parishioners. I have also writing skills, concentrating on grammar, punctuation, and style.
Teaching Style
I believe that knowledge is one of the most important facet in developing a successful life. One of my favorite joys is to see another person learn something new and to make use of that knowledge in his life or career. Without education one is severely handicapped in the development of becoming a complete person. Education is the key. Realizing that people are all different, I am flexible in my teaching methods, slowing down or speeding up my delivery and/or the complexity of the material with each student. I believe that course development should be goal-oriented so that when the student progresses to successful completion of that goal, there is a sense of achievement.
