Experience Summary
Throughout my entire life, regardless of the endeavor, I have been driven toward education--both of myself and my responsibility to teach others. I have tutored young children, children with attention disorders, high school and college students, and adults in subjects including math, science, language arts, grammar and computer skills. I was a corporate trainer for Darden Restaurants, teaching all aspects of that industry, and am currently the principal instructor for an equestrian program in Ohio. I have continued tutoring in math, science, and English since 1998, and plan to continue as such.
Teaching Style
My teaching style revolves around a desire to make complicated subjects as simple and accessible as possible. In teaching so many different types of learners, my methodologies are as varied as my students. A teacher's primary responsibilities are to listen, adapt and teach to the needs of a given student--all driven toward the goal of true education. Regardless, my teaching is grounded in the fact that greatest gift I can offer a student is my time and dedication. If a student truly feels how much I care about his or her betterment, that student's success is inevitable.
