Experience Summary
I have a Bachelor's degree in engineering as well as an MBA. Both degrees were achieved with very high GPAS. I have a vocational teaching certificate from the State of Minnesota and have taught computer programming in vocational school. I've also spent many years as a project manager. In that position I was responsible for developing, and often delivering, the training materials for the projects that I managed. Many of my customers considered by ability to explain technical things to non-technical people to be so commendable that they would call me and ask me to explain technical things that had nothing to do with projects that I had managed for them.
Teaching Style
I primarily use a question-and-answer technique. I am very adept at identifying when a student's understanding of a subject is not where it should be.
I'm also an expert in using examples to explain a point. Especially when explaining technical things I can use non-technical examples to offer enlightenment. For example, while helping one of my sons learn college calculus I related first differentials to a police officer detecting speeders.
I also have many years of experience and can provide examples for many learning experiences from my own background.
