Experience Summary
After my sophomore year at Wright State University, I decided to pursue a career in teaching and earned my BA in Secondary Education (Math) and my MA in General Classroom Teacher.
I accepted a job to teach mathematics at the MVCTC in 2001 and have been there since teaching Basic Math, Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry. Additionally, I have tutored students in Statistics.
Teaching Style
My goal is to help any student not only come to the correct solution, but also understand how they came to that solution. I am patient, thorough, and willing to take the time to help a student understand what it is they are doing. Many times students are just happy to “get the answer.” I believe it is just as important to understand the process of coming to a solution as it is to get the correct solution. I believe all students can and want to learn, however they need an instructor who is motivated, competent, and eager to teach.
