Experience Summary
I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. The opportunity to teach and inspire students is an exciting prospect that I feel fully able to undertake. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a Temporary Teaching Certificate in grades 6-12, and experience working at middle and high school after school programs, as well as other activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer.
Teaching Style
I have had the opportunity to observe a variety of teaching styles and widely varying curricula and philosophies. I have benefited from the advice of teachers, learning specialists, and administrators in very different classroom environments. Aware that students respond best in a multitude of different settings, I have learned how to incorporate a variety of approaches into my teaching: personal reflective and writing time, collaborative group work in brainstorming, compiling, and organizing information, class discussions, and most importantly time management.
