Experience Summary
As a graduate of Tennessee State University, I've been very driven to consistently purse excellence education. I ranked in the top 10% of my class upon graduation and during my tenure I worked within the schools substitute teaching programs. Mentoring/tutoring students in area high schools and middle schools, while also working with students in the Upward Bound Program. After graduation I became involved in my churches no child left behind program as tutor and I currently still tutor. I've run my own successful business and currently I am enrolling to pursue my Masters in Teaching and Masters in Education. I've tutored Mathematics, Sciences, English and History.
Teaching Style
I believe that all children all capable of learning and that each one learns in their own way. The basis behind successful teaching is to find what motivates them and relate that to the subject. I'm a patient teacher but I also believe in being a challenging teacher. Setting the bar high and providing assistance along the way is how I excelled in school and I believe it can be used for other children as well.
