Experience Summary
I have spent over 30 years working in various positions in the computer industry. I returned to school to gain a Mathematics/Teaching degree (without certification) from the University of Utah. I have taught for a single year at West Wendover HS in West Wendover, NV. During that year, I taught basic applied math classes as well as Algebra I, Algebra II and Pre-Calculus classes.
Teaching Style
I like to get a student to the point where that student can apply basic skills to complete a problem. Once the student can apply those steps, I then like to move onward to get the student to be able to understand the reasoning behind the solution to the problem so that the student can use these steps to solve similar types of problems. I have spent a lot of time as a soccer referee and coach as well as a chess team coach working with youth.
