Experience Summary
Education and work experience:
I have two BBA Degrees in International Business, Transportation and Logistics from the University of North Florida. During my college years, I worked as a Mathematics and English as a second language (ESL) tutor with challenged, non challenged, young children, Middle school and college students.
I tutored basic mathematics, pre-algebra/algebra , Trigonometry and pre-calculus in classroom settings for six years. As a tutor, I focus on improving my student’s ability to use basic math knowledge to comprehend complicated math problems.
My future work goal is to tutor mathematics to challenged students, middle and high school students.
Teaching Style
I believe that every student has his/her own learning pace. Each student is capable of understanding a subject if provided with the right basic tools.
I give students a chance to first explain their understanding of a problem. I also have them work problems out and from their answers, I am able to correct their mistakes and find ways that will enable them to correctly and quickly answer questions. My goal is to provide them with tools that will make mathematics fun, easy to understand, and to answer questions using basic math knowledge.
I am patient and understanding of my students needs and I will make a world of difference in your child's education.
