Experience Summary
I am a highly motivated professional that works well in many diverse situations. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from a highly rated private college. I have taught high school and middle school Integrated Science for three years. Before teaching in the public school system, I was a Life Skills Training Coach for middle school students. My other experiences include: conducting and coordinating after school group therapy sessions for juvenile offenders, volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, and working in a foster care home.
Teaching Style
I believe with the right guidance and role modeling any child can enjoy learning. Education is very important to me, I think that a good education can not only advance one’s career but also make life a more enjoyable experience. I am a hands-on practical type of teacher. There is always more than one way of learning a concept. I have taught many different learning styles and learned that when a student is engaged and participating in the lesson they get the most out of it. I believe that one on one or small group tutoring offers one of the best chances for a student to be interactive with the material and really grasp it.
