Experience Summary
I began working with children at the age of 10 in the capacity of babysitter/activities director. As a teen I began working in daycare centers and have worked in the capacity of teacher/assistant teacher/ director/owner. I have taught public school in Florida and the Bronx, NY over the past 5 years. I have worked as a drop-out prevention teacher and have had the privileged to work with a large number of disadvantaged and at-risk students.
Teaching Style
I have strong classroom management skills and a passion for helping kids gain a better understanding for anything under the sun! I have high expectations of what my students can do, and help support them in achieving those expectations. My philosophy is that "can't" is the worst 4 letter word in the dictionary, as a result, I work to motivate my students to become life long learners and to enjoy learning new things.
