Experience Summary
I have two degrees from the College of Education at the University of Florida. At UF, I specialized in Children's Literature and also received an ESOL Endorsement and a Gifted Education Endorsement. I have taught in Gainesville for five years in both fourth and fifth grade. I have experience in all subject areas and have tutored both privately and with SES programs for five years.
Teaching Style
I believe that students and teachers should work together to co-construct knowledge through interaction and exploration. Learning is most successful when students take an active role in their own education through such interaction and exploration. My primary goal as a teacher is to teach students how to become lifelong learners. I want my students to know that learning doesn’t stop when they leave the classroom. Learning can happen at any age, at any place, and in any circumstance. If they can learn that, they can learn anything!
